Summary of Duties
The Research Analyst is a grant funded position which reports to the Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness Planning (IEP) in collaboration with the Vice President for Enrollment Management & Student Affairs (VPEMSA). The Research Analyst will support Title III initiatives through the collection, tracking, analysis, evaluation and visualization of data for decision-making and reporting grant project goals. The Research Analyst work as part of the Rhodes State College Institutional Research (IR) team to develop and maintain data dashboards/visualizations, assist with data requests (as needed), and create other data-informed materials which augment the availability, accessibility, and use of resources. This position will be based on the main campus and eligible for some remote work.
Experience, Skills & Abilities
Required:
- Demonstrated expertise in data analysis and an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.
- Experience in writing functional specifications and documentation.
- Responsive to data needs and have the ability to effectively organize projects.
- Detail oriented, with a focus on quality, accuracy and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
- Applicant must be self-motivated, collaborative, and have good interpersonal skills.
- Experience with the collection, analysis, and dissemination of data for reporting and decision-making, survey design and analysis of results.
Education & Certifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, social sciences, or related field.
