    IR DATA MANAGER & ANALYST @ Cincinnati State

    OVERVIEW

    Responsible for database data collection, analysis, graphical presentation and report writing for internal use and external agencies. Position supports the Director of Institutional Research & Effectiveness and team with specific responsibilities to support the Vice President of Enrollment & Workforce Development Center and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in regards to ODHE-HEI Subsidy Models. 

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

    • Extract data from COLLEAGUE and other data systems to meet internal and external reporting requirements.
    • Serve as a technical liaison for co-op, Starfish, and other data systems and provide tracking reports as requested.
    • Provide technical assistance to ensure data collection and adherence data protocols.
    • Maintain electronic dashboards for college community. Key dashboards include:
    1. Enrollment Dashboards (YOY)
    2. Admissions Dashboards
    3. Student Success Goals
    4. Annual Academic Self-Study
    5. Grade Distribution Dashboard
    • Prepare course completion, grade distribution, retention, and other monitoring reports.
    • Complete state, federal, and other external reports.
    • Publish term-by-term statistics for academic divisions.
    • Design, construct, and maintain systems for disseminating information electronically.
    • Provide data and support institutional and program-specific accreditation activities.
    • Provide data and analyses for top administrators as requested.
    • Coordinate workshops and training seminars as needed. 
    • Assist and lead in the facilitation, collection, and organization for ODHE-HEI annual files.
    • Review and analyze ODE subsidy models. Assist CFO in review and interpretation of annual projections. 
    • Support the Director of IRE and other college leadership with composition and stewardship of annual reports that include: Completion Plan, Enrollment Services Plan and Enrollment Management Plan.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Associates degree in social science, technology, business, or other area involving research and analytical skills with a minimum 3 years' experience in higher education.
    • Or Bachelor's degree in social science, technology, business, or other area involving research and analytical skills. 
    • Statistical analysis proficiency.
    • Advanced experience and proficiency using spreadsheets, query language(s), database systems, statistical software, and word processing.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

    • Experience in higher education, institutional research, effectiveness or analytics office and/or with Colleague/Ellucian/Datatel, Informer (Report Writing Software), and Tableau.
    • Master's Degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution.

    DESIRED COMPETENCIES

    • Previous experience in higher education, educational and/or market research is desirable.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving and customer service skills
    • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to various diverse groups and stakeholders
    • Demonstrated proficiency with multiple software programs and databases (Access, Excel)
    • Strong organizational skills and an exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to manage own time and proactively identify and prioritize tasks for multiple concurrent projects

    DETAILS

    Reports To: Director, Institutional Research & Effectiveness             

    Position Level: Institutional Research Data Manager & Analyst           

    Compensation: $55,000/yr. 

    Status: Full-time         

    Classification: Exempt                             

    Contract Affiliation: Non-bargaining
